I am Tom Hier.
THOMAS HIER founded Biddison Hier Ltd., along with co-founder GAIL BIDDISON, to work with educational institutions and other non-profit organizations to provide high-quality analysis and advice to decision makers facing complex planning and management decisions. Prior to founding Biddison Hier, Ltd., Tom and Gail were senior officers of the real estate subsidiary of the Washington, DC-based law firm of Arnold & Porter. Through Biddison Hier, Tom has provided comprehensive pre-development planning, financial analysis and financial planning services to numerous institutions of higher education. His skills and experience yield significant, tangible results to colleges and universities seeking to derive maximum benefit from institutional resources.
In addition to project work for clients, Tom contributes to the advancement of the field through writing and lecturing. He is a contributor to a number of educational publications, including Trusteeship Magazine, the publication of the Association of Governing Boards, and NET RESULTS: The On-Line Magazine for Strategy and Leadership. He has been featured presenters at annual meetings of national organizations including the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), the Association for College and University Housing Officers - International (ACUHO-I), the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP), the American Association of College Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO), the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO), and the National Association of College Auxiliary Services (NACAS).
Tom is a graduate of Brown University and The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
