GAIL BIDDISON and THOMAS HIER founded Biddison Hier Ltd. to work with educational institutions and other non-profit organizations to provide high-quality analysis and advice to decisionmakers facing complex planning and management decisions. Prior to founding Biddison Hier, Ltd., Ms. Biddison and Mr. Hier were senior officers of the real estate subsidiary of the Washington, DC-based law firm of Arnold & Porter. They have provided comprehensive pre-development planning, financial analysis and financial planning services to numerous institutions of higher education. Their skills and experience yield significant, tangible results to colleges and universities seeking to derive maximum benefit from institutional resources.

In addition to their project work for clients, they contribute to the advancement of the field through writing and lecturing. They are contributors to a number of educational publications, including Trusteeship Magazine, the publication of the Association of Governing Boards, and NET RESULTS: The On-Line Magazine for Strategy and Leadership. They have been featured presenters at annual meetings of national organizations including the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO), the National Association of College Auxiliary Services (NACAS), the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), the Association for College and University Housing Officers - International (ACUHO-I), and the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP).
